Pebble
It is a remodelling project that to modifies an existing product and aims to create an elegant and minimalistic feature within the revised version in order for installation in the high density areas; such as offices, hospitals, hotels etc. Also, redesigning the installation process to ease and reduce the steps and accessories required.

Background
During the pandemic period, UV technology products were invented to help create a safer environment and protect us by disinfecting viruses and bacteria. Arex is a lighting company and has also created some lighting products with UV technology.
The Problem
The current UV lighting product has received some reviews from clients that the appearance of the product is too stiff and would like a softer feature, and fit in elevators, commercial spaces like offices, hospitals, stations, and high-traffic places. Therefore, we start to remodel the lighting.
Solution
To design a new UV light that will fit in the elevators, commercial spaces based on the feedback from clients and define those review as the design requirements of the project to modify the current product.

As the requirement of the project is to have a disinfection light installed in the elevator, we start to look at the devices in the elevator, especially on the security camera.

After the idea exploring, this model is chosen as the feature for the project for following reason:

Small and flexible base for variation

Slimmer and softer feature suit for both residential or public space
Modification
Working with engineers to create the prototype and considering all the suggestion to modified the model.
Prototype
We had 3D printed out the model to do testing with optic, heat dissipation, and more importantly to test the UV disinfection function.

To be able to install at different environment, Pebble has 2 styles of how it can be install, ceiling and pendant styles.
